The Nassau County Court Capital Plan project was commissioned by the County to assess the current conditions and future need of the County's court facilities. Based on OCA guidelines and the scope of work developed with the user groups, RicciGreene developed a Capital Plan. A general assessment of building conditions, combined with an assessment of space needs, provided the basis from which the proposed renovation and expansion was derived.

The goal of the Capital Plan was to provide policy makers and decision makers with a comprehensive analysis of the findings. The Nassau County court system consists of seven buildings in different locations throughout the county. Our approach prioritized the individual needs of each court as well as those of the court system as a whole, and developed a series of recommendations that could be phased over time. These recommendations addressed the conditions of each court, identified short-term needs from long-term goals, and factored in cost implications
