Unifying the landmark American Brass Company building with state-of-the-art judicial facilities, the new criminal courthouse in Waterbury, Connecticut enhances the historic character of the civic center. The new 125,000 sf design provides eleven criminal courtrooms, prisoner holding facilities, and a con- temporary public entrance, while the abutting historic building houses the jury assembly, support, clerk, attorney, and judges offices. These judicial spaces are designed to meet contemporary security and administrative needs and are outfitted with up-to-date technology systems. Also included on the site is a 300-car public parking garage with private courthouse access for judges and staff.

RicciGreene Associates served as the program design architect to the developer, Northland Development Corporation, collaborating with Jeter, Cook and Jepson, Architect of Record, and Turner as the builder.
