The new Staten Island Courthouse is a major addition to downtown St. George – sitting on a prominent site and very visible from the New York City Harbor approach to Staten Island. The courthouse is 180,000 gross square feet, LEED Silver certified, and contains 14 courtrooms and four hearing rooms. The building includes both Supreme and County criminal courts, as well as jury assembly and other support functions. 

RicciGreene was associate architect for courts planning and design responsible for all documentation of program spaces in collaboration with Ennead Architects, the lead designer. RicciGreene played a key role in developing the program and building organization, working closely with the unusually complex mix of agencies that must be navigated to develop a New York City court project..
